Band Coaching

Playing bass guitar alone in your attic is a lot of fun, but sooner or later, you’ll miss something. The bass generally works best in a group setting.

But how do you start a band like that?

First of all, you need different types of musicians/instruments. A drum kit, a piano, guitar, maybe a singer, or a saxophone—come up with it. Often, a music school is a good place to help find other musicians because lessons are given on those instruments. The combination of having individual lessons and also playing in a band with a teacher at a music school proves to work well. Then, you need to come up with a repertoire and start practicing.

What Style?

Are you going to play existing songs, or create your own?

And what is the ambition?

Do you just want to practice once a week and then share the results with friends and family over time?
Or do you want to get so good that you can conquer social media, theaters, and festivals? Or somewhere in between?
Of course, there are world-famous bands that have never had a band coach, but on the other hand, it’s sometimes wise to have someone with experience and knowledge listen in and offer advice.
